South Korean media reported on Monday that a train from North Korea, likely carrying leader Kim Jong Un, had left for Russia in preparation for a potential meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Chosun Ilbo, citing unnamed South Korean official sources, stated that Kim and Putin could meet as soon as this Tuesday and that the train had probably left Pyongyang on Sunday evening.

The Yonhap news agency and other publications also covered this story. Kyodo, a Japanese news agency, citing unnamed Russian authorities as stating that Kim might be traveling to their country by his own private train.
