Argentina’s Foreign Minister Diana Mondino has claimed that President Javier Milei’s rejection to join the BRICS group is partly motivated by ideological grounds. She feels that the rejection is a realistic choice for Argentine authorities because it allows them to  better focus on strengthening trade and economic relations with nations such as the United States, Europe, Australia, Israel, Canada, and New Zealand. Milei has officially told BRICS members that his country will not be joining the group.
