US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has made it clear that he is keen on speeding up the normalization process with Israel as a potential incentive for Israel to end the Gaza operation, following his meetings in Saudi Arabia. This comes as part of his tour aimed at reducing regional tensions caused by the conflict between Israel and Hamas. All the leaders on Blinken’s tour have promised to collaborate with the US to aid in Gaza’s recovery and long-term stability, according to his meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the de facto ruler of Saudi Arabia. Once the Israel-Hamas conflict broke out a little over three months ago, all attempts to forge ties between the two countries were put on hold.  The tow pending issues for the U.S administration are : first U.S. pressure on Israel to halt Gaza conflict intensifies as presidential race heats up. In the meanwhile, Israel must deal with the strategic realities of reoccupying Gaza while simultaneously resolving the Palestinian territorial issue and bridging the divide between its far-right parties and its Western and Arab partners. In addition  He continued by saying that the Huthi rebels in Yemen, who are backed by Iran, had attacked the Red Sea, cutting off a vital commerce route. Amidst efforts to end a protracted conflict between the Huthis and an international coalition led by Saudi Arabia, Riyadh is facing a precarious situation.
