According to Axios, the US is considering airdropping humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip via US military planes owing to the increasing difficulty of ground delivery. The US administration is concerned about the increasing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, as relief delivery dropped by half in February compared to January. The White House has only recently begun to examine this option, and 160 packages of food and medical supplies have been airdropped into southern Gaza and the Jordanian field hospital in Khan Yunis. Tensions in the Middle East escalated as Hamas militants infiltrated Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip.
